My Feeling about Talking to a Foreigner
Talking to a native-speaker is not only extremely interesting but also terribly nervous. Although the process is truly difficult due to the typhoon as well as the reluctance of the Chinese Language Center because they were holding the midterm oral exams, it is worthy in that I really obtain greatly precious experience. While I talk with a foreigner, I have no time to consider my grammar of each sentence. Besides, I need to try my best to understand what he talked about. Honestly, I could hardly understand what he talked about even if he just spoke very easy words, such as “Europe” at that time because I was so nervous and I was not used to his tone. While I would like to talk, I still couldn’t express my meaning smoothly. I thought that I was rude and impolite because of my comprehension as well as expression. Nevertheless, I enjoy this activity in that it is meaningful and makes me train my courage to talk to foreigners. I think that this experience is a unforgettable memory to me.
