Compare And Contrast Living at Home And in The Dormitory (A1)

There is no doubt that it is extremely different between living at home and in the dormitory. They both have individual advantages as well as disadvantages. Nevertheless, people cannot choose the form of living most of the time.

Those who live at home don’t need to rent dormitories. They don’t have to move their furniture from their houses to their dormitories, and they could rely upon their parents rather than do all the things themselves. In addition, if they bring their own lunch boxes from home, they are capable of saving money as well as time instead of waiting in line to buy from outside. Notwithstanding, people living at home won’t learn how to make themselves more independent voluntarily most often. Most of them are still like children.

On the contrary, people who live in dormitories ought to train themselves to deal with problems and challenges as they face. They should wash and dry their clothes in the sun. Besides, they need to clean their dorms as well as stuff on their own. Moreover, as their computers crash as well as electric equipment doesn’t work, they have to fix them by themselves or find somebody to help. That can make them grow up. However, renting a dormitory and buying for three meals cost a host of money. In fact, it becomes more and more expensive nowadays.

In my opinion, I prefer living at home to living in the dormitory. Even though I am a junior, I am still dependent on my parents all the time. I really wish that I could live at home forever although it is impossible. Now that we cannot decide where to live, why not accept and adapt ourselves to the state of play? No matter where we live, we cannot forget our main goal - learning more knowledge so as to enhance our own abilities. Cherish the state of play and concentrate on how to achieve our aim. That will help us get ahead in life.
